Mothercare driving compliance in China

Mothercare has over 50 years experience in all baby related products, from prams and push-chairs to maternity clothes and baby clothes. This wealth of expertise makes the brand valuable on the world stage; an opportunity that Mothercare is taking advantage of with joint venture operations in China, and a global network of partners and franchisees.


This worldwide distribution network requires labeling systems that can print tickets and/or product labels in local language to underpin effective supply chain operations and ensure product compliance.  By partnering with Mobilis Consulting and Avery Dennison, information supplied by suppliers and Mothercare head office is used to form a centralised product compliance database. This data is used in-country by handheld computers to print item labels specifically for the local market.  Compliance is maintained at item level, by colour/style/size variation, to ensure the right label is always produced for the right item and the right time.
